What makes Saxony attractivE?
Since the reunification of Germany in 1990 Saxony had the highest gross domestic product per inhabitant of all new federal states.
As a result, Saxony has had the highest economic growth of all the German federal states for several years. In the year 2004, for example, it was the only state in Germany to achieve growth in double figures (13%).
Saxony – located in the very heart of Europe – was thus the „most dynamic German Federal State of 2004“ and was voted „Western European Future Region of the Year 2004/05“.
